Kim and Rich are the proud owners of Camp Run-A-Mutt’s new Henderson location, and they can’t wait to bring their love for dogs to the community!

Kim and Rich’s journey to opening a doggie daycare began with a shared goal of combining their love for dogs with their professional skills. After extensive research into various franchises, they chose Camp Run-A-Mutt for its standout features—a doggy splash pond and a genuinely passionate team. Rich’s enthusiasm for the splash pond was clear: “I want to go there and hang out. I would be jealous of my dogs!” Their decision was also influenced by the franchise’s authentic and heartfelt commitment to improving dogs’ lives.

Kim’s former role as General Manager of a restaurant positions her perfectly to lead this new venture. Her deep love for dogs, providing top-notch customer service, and hands-on experience in managing operations will translate seamlessly into running a successful dog daycare.

Rich will be supporting the new location on the backend by leveraging his technical expertise. He will manage HVAC, electrical, IT, and general building practices, as well as handle bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and customer service. He will continue his current role while helping to ensure the facility operates smoothly.

Kim and Rich’s love for dogs is deeply rooted. From their first pups at age 10 to the five beloved dogs they have shared over the past 20 years—including Bob, D-O-G, Princess, Akira, and Loki—their experience has shaped their understanding of what dogs need to thrive. Their current pets, Akira (a pomsky) and Loki (an Alaskan Klee Kai), continue to enrich their lives and inspire their commitment to dog care.
