Grooming Salon Now Open 7 Days a Week
They barked, we listened! Our Grooming Salon is now open 7 days a week. Now you can schedule all of your Camper’s cuts, baths and pawdicures Sunday through Saturday. Our Grooming Staff, just like our Grooming Salon; is also growing. This will allow us to accommodate later services as well as maintain our mission of cage free grooming. All of our Campers are hand dried snout to tail - no cage dryers here! Our staff is also dedicated to your pup alone during your scheduled service. When you contact us to book your dog’s next spa day, our front desk crew with ask you a few questions to ensure your dog is all caught up on those pesky vaccinations before transferring you to one of our Grooming Salon. Those Grooming Salon staffers will be better equipped to assist you in selecting and scheduling your grooming services. A few grooming tips not to be missed:
While the Grooming Salon is now open 7 days a week, our hair-cutting-groomers are here on select days of the week; so schedule hair cuts/full service grooms as soon as your camper is getting scruffy so we can be sure to accommodate you!
Do you have a Monthly Unlimited Daycare Package? If so your pup is entitled to a FREE (yes totally free) bath for every month you have an active Monthly Unlimited Package! Don’t forget to schedule that before your package expires.
Do you love us just for our Grooming? That’s ok by us, not every dog is a Camper. But remember all dogs in our facility still have to maintain all of their vaccines, so don’t be offended if we ask for updated info, we’re just lookin’ out for the Campers and Groom-only dogs alike!
Does your pup have skin issues? Our groomers and bathers can scratch that itch! Let them work their magic on your pup’s itchy or sensitive skin. We carry only the crème de la crème when it comes to products. Our staff are trained professionals who would be happy to give you some tips and tricks in between services too, so give ‘em a shout and see what they can do!
Does your dog have their own prescription shampoo? Perhaps they order specialty products from the South of France…either way, we don’t judge. Our staff can use the shampoo of your choice for any service. Just be sure to write your name on anything you want returned to you (except for your dog).
We are proud of our competitive pricing! While all dogs are created equally, some have hair, and some have fur. That hair or fur is unique, their temperaments are exclusive, their skin reacts differently, and their service pricing might reflect that. Size, fur, hair and tolerance are just a few of the ways we craft our pricing structure. Don’t fret; we’ll show you a breakdown of your pup’s pricing any time you pay for services.
In San Diego it’s always beach season! We know how much doodles love the sand and goldens love the waves, but don’t let sand and salt water sit for too long on your dog’s fur and skin. Don’t be salty, be sure to rinse them off if you don’t have a service scheduled shortly after your trip to dog beach! This will help our groomers keep the length you desire on your doggo and prevent mats from forming on Fido.
Boarding Reminders & Tips
We just know your New Year’s Resolution was to getaway more! Your dog will enjoy a fun-filled and picturesque vacay just like you at Camp Run-A-Mutt, Mission Hills! While our boarding rates have not increased for 2020; our capacity has! We’ve added more staff, beds and space to allow for more Campers. When you call our front desk staff to book your boarding reservation, they’ll likely give you the rundown, but here’s what you can expect:
All boarders must check in by 12pm. This ensures we have enough time to acclimate your dog to the Camp environment before bed, sort all of their meal bags appropriately and ensure we have enough overnight staff to accommodate the number of boarders.
All boarders must arrive with all of their meals portioned into bags or containers of their choosing. Think of it this way: the number of meals they are eating = the number of bags or containers you need to prep. This helps us to prevent boarding fees and allows staff to focus on the dogs rather than measure, bag and label meals for every boarding. The best part: If you wish to have all of these bags or containers returned to you, we’ll do just that!
Boarders who will be given medications should leave these meds separate from their food bags. This way we can properly identify medications and organize them in a way that makes sense to the Camp Staff responsible for administering those!
Save time by reviewing and updating your boarding checklist before you arrive. You will receive a clickable link in your confirmation email that allows you to review and update feeding instructions, emergency contacts, medication information and more. Now that’s worth a click!
Remember only to pack the necessities! While dogs are welcome to bring blankets, jackets and treats, we do have all of these items for them! We would never let a dog go frosty or treatless; but if they prefer their own that’s pawsome; pack ‘em! We have slow feeding bowls, raised feeders for those Great Danes and even plates for those finicky Frenchies, so leave your bowl at home if they are ok with that.
All boarders are extended a discount on bathing services in our Grooming Salon, so check out of boarding and into cuddles with your fresh and fluffy pup with one of our signature “Check Me Out” services!
Remember to cancel if your plans change! Because we require a one-night deposit for each boarding dog, you’ll lose that deposit if you forget to cancel at least 48 hours in advance. Don’t forget we’re a hotel too…our guests are just cuter.
Remember that we apply a $10 holiday premium to all holidays and some of the surrounding days as well. Even when our doors are closed for daycare, our staff works 24/7/365 for our boarders! This helps to ensure they are compensated fairly around those holidays. Your campers and camp staff thank you for understanding! You can find all of the dates affected by our holiday premium below:
